These "Jammer" units are for 1998.5-2002 5.9L Cummins ISB engines in Dodge Ram trucks and RV coaches. The proprietary process used to create these injectors intricately machines 8 orifices into the tips. Compared to the stock 7-orifice injectors, Jammers feature better atomization, faster fuel flow and an enhanced spray angle. Also, the increased number of orifices enables the injectors to deliver more fuel while still maintaining proper fuel pressure. The result is more power and improved combustion-chamber cleanliness. The Diesel Dynamics¹ machining process also matches flow rate to within about 1% among injectors, further enhancing engine performance -- the stock injectors can vary as much as 11% per set. Jammer Injectors are available in five configurations: Stage 1 increases HP by 65+ in Cummins-powered pickups. Stage 2 adds up to 85 HP, and Stage 3 increases horsepower by 100. For competition/off-road applications, Diesel Dynamics offers two pure-performance stages. Combined with other upgrades such as aftermarket engine-control modules, a set of Stage 4 Jammer Injectors will add up to 150 HP, and the full-on Stage 5 kit can increase horsepower by 175.
