|City Diesel recognizes the importance of timely and accurate shipping. We value your trust and your confidence in our services. This notice describes our shipping policy. By ordering from City Diesel, you are accepting the practices described in these Shipping Terms.
How does City Diesel ship?
We ship all orders with UPS unless otherwise specified and agreed upon through verbal or written communication. We will make every effort to ship your order according to your directions, but you must specify the type service you require if its anything other than ground shipping. Unless otherwise agreed upon prior to shipment we will ship all orders with signature required, this is for your protection as well as ours. Our shipping process is automated and based off of the information you provide us with in your order, so please be accurate. When you order you are certifying that you understand what the terms of the different shipping methods and agree that the shipping carrier not City Diesel is responsible for the execution of those terms. What if there is a problem?
It is your responsibility to check and make sure your order is correct when you receive it. If you notice a problem with the shipping or contents of your order, you should call us as soon as possible. If we made an error we will do everything within our power to correct it at no additional charge to you. If any additional charges are applicable they will be discussed with you before hand. City Diesel only guarantees that we will make every reasonable effort to ensure that your order is packaged sufficiently to avoid damage. We cannot guarantee the safety of packages after they have left our building, they are the responsibility of the shipping carrier, in the event of a problem City Diesel can file a claim with the carrier for you.
If there is a problem how will City Diesel contact me?
We will attempt to contact you with the phone number and email you provide to us. If we reach an answering machine or voice mail, we will leave a message. If the contact information provided is not accurate or useable we may not be able to contact you so please be accurate.
When will my order ship, and how can I track it?
If we receive an order before 2:00pm CST we will try our best to ship it the same day, This is not always possible due to stock, and other factors. If your order is an item we don't have in stock at the time we may drop ship it from the factory. On some special or custom build items there may be a delay of 1 - 2 days. If your order is going to be delayed more than 1 - 2 days shipping we will contact you with the information you provided to us. You may track your order by logging in with your account to our web site and clicking "View My Order History" under My Account Info". If there is a tracking number for your order there will be a button "track" beside it. Click it.
What About Core Returns?
All cores must be returned within 60 days for credit to be applied. If you are returning a core for credit you must have a copy of your invoice or your invoice number with the return. If you have lost the invoice please include as much information as possible about your order to help us locate your order. We also highly recommend putting your phone number or contact information with the return. We will make every effort possible to give you core credit within 1 week, however lack of information or waiting longer than 60 days to return your core can increase the amount of time required to process your return. City Diesel is not responsible for cores lost by the shipping carrier. City Diesel is not obligated to provide you with a shipping label for your core return, City Diesel may or may not include a label for core returns at City Diesel's sole discretion.

If you are returning a product you need to call us before hand or include a copy of the invoice to insure that the credit process goes quickly and smoothly. If we special ordered or drop shipped a part you may be charged a restocking fee, depending on the factory. You may or may not be notified before hand if an item is drop shipped or special order. If it is an item we stock and we decide it was returned in a new or like new condition, we will issue credit minus shipping as soon as possible.
There are some special conditions that apply to VP44 returns and warranties, they are as follows. Tampering with the pumps wires can cause premature pump failure. If the wires are cut the pump is no longer warrantable, and any repairs that need to be made to the injection pump will be the buyers responsibility. In the VP44 pump the fuel is used to cool and lubricate the pump, and the tolerances between the head and the rotor is very fine. Performance chip add on's affect the cooling rate of the pump. The pump will become hotter due to excessive RPM's from the chips programming. When the throttle is backed off the fuel to the pump is reduced, and the pumps cooling capabilities are greatly reduced. Since the pump is hotter from the increased RPM's the rotor siezes in the head and the pump fails. An alternative to cutting into the pumps wires is to use a chip that plugs directly into the trucks ECM. This approach will allow for an increase in HP while not excessively heating the fuel pump.
